“Fuckyeahmichelledockery” is the original tumblr Michelle blog. The owner has actually met Michelle, and has an invaluable resources page, including a list of Michelle’s current projects and fan mail info. It was very helpful to me. Her blog is a great hub of most of the popular reblogs which helps you find other Michelle Dockery blogs and fellow fans on Tumblr.

“Thequietworld” is run by the Professor Moriarty of this fandom. She sits motionless, like a spider in the centre of its web, but that web has a thousand radiations, and she knows well every quiver of each of them. If there’s anything new on the internet, she’ll be the first to know.

“Gossipcom” is not updated as frequently, neither is it an exclusive Michelle fansite; but it is an excellent source of interviews, news, and sometimes breaking developments. It is perhaps the best kept secret in this Tumblr community.

“Downtonline” is the great vault of super high-res Downton Abbey images. It’s run by someone who always gets the scoop on cast pictures. If any professional photographer takes a picture of the Downton cast, photos will likely soon appear there. How she does it is a real mystery. She wont tell me, I tried. This fandom wouldn’t be the same without her.

Use news search. Perhaps what makes my blog distinct from others is I’m a careful reader of the papers. Google News and Journalisted are essential resources. I love reading interviews and reviews for past stage performances. You can also directly search the major British papers, for example The Guardian, Express, Independent, Mail, Mirror, The Morning Star, Sun, Telegraph, Times, etc. I usually don’t have the time though.

There are also a number of news photography sites such as Newscom, Getty Images, AP Images, Wireimage, Zimbio, Contactmusic, Flickr, where archived photos can be found. It can be useful to check them when the Downton cast is at an event, but the Tumblr Downton fandom will typically post new pictures hot off the presses.
